Jasleen Royal and Burrah Celebrate World Music Day with Personal Favorites

On the occasion of World Music Day, musicians Jasleen Royal and Jasdeep Singh, known as Burrah, shared insights into their current music preferences and spiritual connections through melodies.

Jasleen Royal, acclaimed for her soulful compositions including 'Ranjha' from the movie 'Shershaah', revealed her current musical indulgences. "I am listening to 'Assi Sajna' and 'Tum Se' on loop right now," she shared. Describing the songs as perfect for the weather, she likened them to a warm hug, evoking a subtle excitement.

'Tum Se', featuring vocals by Raghav Chaitanya, Sachin-Jigar, and Varun Jain, is part of the soundtrack from the sci-fi romantic comedy 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. Meanwhile, 'Assi Sajna', sung by Aditya Sharma, INTENSE, and Jasleen herself, resonates with listeners for its emotive appeal.

Burrah, known for his contributions to 'MTV Hustle' and 'Coke Studio Bharat', shared a more introspective journey with his musical choices. "Currently, I’m in a supremely creative space, writing a lot of music," he revealed. He expressed his deep connection to 'Chaupai Sahib', a hymn in Sikhism penned by Guru Gobind Singh ji, which he listens to for spiritual solace and protection.

"In Sikhism, it’s recited to gain spiritual safety and defence from external and internal enemies, worries and afflictions," Burrah explained, emphasizing its profound significance in his daily routine. Additionally, he mentioned listening to 'Bajarang Baan' and finding therapeutic value in 'Sajni', sung by Arijit Singh, which plays constantly at his home.

Jasleen Royal's repertoire spans hits like 'Peh Gaya Khalara', 'Raatein', and 'Heeriye', featuring Dulquer Salmaan. Her music resonates widely for its lyrical depth and emotive quality, reflecting her versatile talent in Bollywood and beyond.

As both artists celebrate World Music Day with their distinct musical tastes and spiritual connections, their contributions continue to enrich the cultural landscape, offering listeners moments of introspection, joy, and inspiration through their music.
