Debchandrima Singha Roy Overcomes Driving Fear for Role in 'Suhagan Chudail'
Bengali actress Debchandrima Singha Roy has embraced a challenging new skill for her role in the fantasy thriller romance series ‘Suhagan Chudail’. She has mastered mobile van driving, a pivotal requirement for an intense scene in the show.
Portraying the character Deeya, Debchandrima initially faced apprehension due to her fear of driving larger vehicles. However, she tackled the challenge with determination and support from the production team.
“I’ve always been scared of driving big vehicles, so I was really nervous when I found out I had to get behind the wheel of a mobile van for the show. It’s a big part of some important scenes,” Debchandrima shared, recalling her initial reaction.
With encouragement from her director and the crew, Debchandrima dedicated herself to mastering the van in a short span of two weeks. “I remember the first time I sat in the van and started it up. My hands were trembling, and I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I took a moment, said a little prayer, and then started the engine,” she recounted.
Known for her dedication to her craft, Debchandrima expressed her passion for portraying complex characters like Deeya. “As an actor, I love playing complicated characters that let me show lots of different emotions and push myself to do new things. That’s exactly what Deeya is – she’s brave, determined, and always eager to go to any length for the things she values,” she added.
In the ongoing storyline of ‘Suhagan Chudail’, Deeya finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue and suspicion after discovering Sugandha’s dead body. As Moksh (played by Zayn Ibad Khan) grapples with the police, Deeya faces accusations despite her protests of innocence. Meanwhile, the manipulative Nishigandha (played by Nia Sharma) adds further chaos to the unfolding drama.
Amidst the turmoil, Deeya’s path crosses with a mysterious Banjaran in the desert, hinting at revelations that could expose Nishigandha’s true nature. As tensions escalate within the haveli due to Moksh’s uncertain testimony, Deeya’s quest for justice and truth intensifies.
