Ryan Harris, the new bowling coach of the Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals, reached Dubai on Friday. The IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November. Former Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris will join Delhi Capitals players and other members. Earlier, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Potting reached Dubai on Thursday morning. Potting and Harris will remain in compulsory isolation for six days.
Harris was named the bowling coach of the team by the Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. The team's bowling coach James Hopes could not join the team this time due to personal reasons, due to which the team has given this responsibility to Harris.
"I am very happy to be back in the IPL," said Harris. This is also a big opportunity for me to win the IPL title to the franchise with my work. Delhi have the best bowlers and I can't wait to do more with them. "Harris has taken 113 in international cricket, 44 in ODIs and four T20 wickets. He was part of the IPL winning team Deccan Charger in 2009. However, he retired in 2015 due to injury. Harris will serve on the Delhi team's coaching staff along with Ricky Potting, Mohammad Kaif, Samuel Badri, and Vijay Dahiya.
